The Solution
I had so much fun pulling together your space! I created a couple of variations for your entry, one using a console table and the other with a bench. The paint color on the wall is Benjamin Moore Simply White. I've included several options for your command center and curtains on your shopping list below. Shoot me a message in the chat if you have any questions!
OPTION TWO: Bench
This option has a storage bench instead of a console, and adds in some wall files and a wall cubby that also doubles as a coat rack. You could also add in the two small white key shelves you already have over the wall files if you'd like in this option. This chalkboard is custom made and you can choose the finish, and go smaller if you don't want one this large. Hang it so that it is roughly 6" to 1' off of the floor.
HANGING INSTRUCTIONS
I've included some picture hangers on your shopping list which will work for any of the wall decor shown above. For the wall files, hang them so that the midline is roughly at eye level (which will move up or down depending on if you want them to be accessible to your children). Space them roughly 4-6" apart, both vertically and horizontally. For the wire metal cubby, hang it centered over the storage bench at eye level. You could do two side by side if you'd like more storage.
WINDOW TREATMENTS
I love these Amatis curtains from West Elm! I paired them with the Devlin rod from Crate and Barrel which will look fab in your space. They are both washable if they get dirty over time.
ALTERNATIVES
I included a few different options for window treatments. I showed the West Elm Amytis curtains in the design. Their color block curtains would also look fab! The two target options are at a lower price point, but wouldn't be as great quality. If you love the West Elm ones, I would wait to buy them when they go on sale.
I normally tell clients to hang curtains high and wide, but because of the width of your windows and how the wall stops to the left of it, hang the rod in close to the window. All the curtains shown are 84"/7' so they should be hung about 1' above the frame so that the bottom edge of the curtains just barely touches the floor.
CURTAIN HARDWARE
I love Crate and Barrel's Hardware so I showed the Devlin rod in the design. For a more formal look, you can purchase two ring sets as well. If you do this, you will just need to move the curtains up a few inches so that they hang where they just barely touch the floor. I've also included a rod that is at a lower price point from Target on your shopping list.
