This design combines farmhouse and modern styles to achieve the look you love. I suggest leaving mantle as is, but if you would like to stain or paint it, have it finished in a similar color as the media console. For window treatments, I suggest leaving them as they are but I have provided a drapery solution that I believe will be beautiful and pull this design together. Please keep but move the sofa, side tables, console, and floor lamp back towards window--eliminating the walk space. This will allow for the new seating and accent table.
The size of your existing side tables are great. They will balance out once you place your new pieces, bringing all of the items into scale. Please keep the existing clock over the fireplace. With the new accents layered on the mantle, it doesn't stand alone making it less "overwhelming" in the space.
For media console, I suggest a 50" or larger television (media console is 80" in width). I have selected pieces that I believe will go beautifully with your existing furniture and decor. I hope that you love these updates as much as I do.
Replace existing console with this handsome media console to balance out the sofa. The brass handles are everything!
Place between pair of accent chairs. These are also easy to move around room if needed.
To replace existing pair of chairs across from fireplace. This placement allows for good flow in and out of room as well as view of fireplace and TV. Place side table in between chairs.
Layer pillows from largest to smallest on sofa. Place navy lumbar pillows on armchair to repeat color and texture. (Please reference rendering for guidance).
For taller ceilings I suggest a connector if you would like for chandelier to hang lower!
This chandelier will add warmth to the room, use a dimmer switch to create the perfect ambient lighting. I've also provided a fan option to replace the existing one for a more cohesive look. The bottom of the chandelier should hang at a minimum of 6 feet off the floor - adjust for taller family members. For taller ceilings I suggest a connector if you would like for chandelier to hang lower!
For the wall sconces, place on either side of the media console. 2"-4" away from console edge and the bottom should hang 6"-8" above the console. Use the mantle height as a guide to hang the art, try to place the mantle in the center of the art of hanging approximately 50" off the floor. Center art in wall space.
I have provided two rugs to ground the seating space. Please center your rug with sofa and fireplace or place accordingly depending on seating arrangement. When hanging curtains make sure your curtain rod is 3"-6" at min. above the top of the window frame and 3"-6" either side of the window frame. You want the bottom of your panels to either dust the floor or they can drape up to 2" on the floor. Please follow instructions provided with the kit to successfully install hardware and window coverings. I suggest hanging these curtains for aesthetic. In your source list, I've provided a short rod for a stationary purpose. Please reference rendering for hanging guidance.
