Read on to see how we approached this inspiration room and find tips on how to get this look in your home. The trick to decorating using inspiration photos isn't to copy the design exactly. Instead, the key to using inspiration photos is to incorporate some of the details from the inspiration that will complement your home. This dining room is a warm and inviting space with a farmhouse style. Although many farmhouse pieces are weathered and worn, this specific space pairs those weathered pieces with formal and polished pieces, which creates a stunning look. The three main pieces in this room ultimately define the style and feeling of the room: the dining table, the lighting and the chairs. We have gathered some of our favorites pieces to help you achieve this look in your home, starting with dining tables: Houzz Wayfair Overstock Houzz Target Houzz A wood, farmhouse table will work best to create the look and feel of this inspiration dining room, but not just any table. If you look at the tables we suggested above, you will notice that they all have a unique base and all can be a statement piece in a room. A table with unique detailing will make the room feel more formal, especially paired with a statement ceiling fixture. Take a look at some of our favorite lights that can achieve this look: Overstock Pottery Barn Amazon Houzz Homary Houzz The lighting in a dining room is very important, especially in this inspiration room. A statement fixture with lots of detail will create a big first impression in the room. Next up, dining chairs: Overstock Houzz Houzz Overstock Heyneedle Overstock The dining table and lighting are big statements so the dining chairs should be neutral to allow the other elements to shine. The chairs should be a simple shape and not too loud or distracting in the room. Since they are neutral in color, this allows you more freedom to use any colors or patterns in the rug and curtains. So how do you take these tips and use them in your home? Look at this example below: Curtains: Pottery Barn Chair: Houzz Light: Houzz Table: Houzz Rug: Target Faux Beam: Fauxwoodbeams.com Here, we chose one of the suggested tables, chairs and lighting and then added our own personal picks for curtains and a rug. Last, we added these amazing faux wood beams to the ceiling for more texture and dimension. There you go! Now you can see how to use this blog post as an easy formula to create a farmhouse style, formal dining room in your home! THANK YOU all for following along our SwatchPop Dream Home series!
